The word scholar is held in high esteem when it comes to the academic corridors. Now imagine a scholar, having grammatical errors or punctuation errors in their work. That name will become downgraded instantly. People will begin to question whether that scholar is even qualified. It is common human nature to judge others harshly for their mistakes. If you are, however, someone who likes self-preservation and would like to keep your reputation as a scholar clean and untainted, then you will agree with me that grammarly application is a necessary evil in your work. Of course, not everyone will agree with me on this one, but as the saying goes, ‘the end justifies the means’. After all, your scholarly submissions do not have a compulsory requirement that you should attach a grammarly report. However, most professors consider grammar in their marking sheet for essay and research papers rubric.
